yumeat™ products contain more than 1 plant protein such as non-GMO beans, wheat, oats and mushrooms. We have a stringent raw material supply selection process that guarantees all yumeat™ ingredients are responsibly sourced and are non-GMO. In addition, all yumeat™ products are preservative free and MSG free.
By eating plant proteins instead of animal proteins, you are directly consuming the resources required to feed the animal instead of the animal eating it for you. Doing so reduces the total resources and total energy consumed to feed the world population thereby reducing our carbon footprint. Eg one of the plant proteins yumeat™ uses is soybean. Not only are soybeans in abundant supply, yumeat™ only uses non-GMO soybeans which are not genetically modified.
yumeat™ products undergo high temperature treatment equivalent to sterilisation and hence no preservatives are needed to preserve this food. The product can be safely consumed without the help of preservatives.
Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a flavour enhancer. It balances, blends and rounds the total perception of other tastes. You can find it under the food additive E621. yumeat™ products do not contain MSG, preservatives or GMO and are free from hormones or antibiotics.
yumeat™ products are pre-cooked so it's safe to eat them straight from the package. However, you can cook our products in any manner similar to a meat product. They are suitable for saute, fry, grill, steam, stew and deep fry. A truly versatile product.
yumeat™ products can be stored in ambient temperatures. Store them in a cupboard or pantry. However, as the products have no added preservatives, once opened please store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days. Contrary to most food containing plant-based protein, yumeat™ is not frozen, so all our foods are immediately ready to use or cook without thawing.
Our products are created using a combination of soy, wheat, and oat proteins. Our R&D team has worked very hard and experimented with many different protein combinations to come up with the best meat-like taste and texture.
yumeat™ products are formulated to contain less fat, less saturated fat (important for blood cholesterol levels. High cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease and strokes), more fibre and less sodium. yumeat™ products do not contain cholesterol and are free from antibiotics and hormones. The products are non-GMO, do not contain preservatives or added MSG. Our in-house R&D, certified nutritionist and stringent QC processes ensure that every product is produced with the highest quality for our consumers.
