LU ROU FAN (TAIWANESE BRAISED MINCED MEAT RICE)
Ingredients
- 50g yumeat™ Plant-Based Minced Meat
- 5g red onion
- 2g cooking oil
- 25g Xiao Bai Cai
The sauce:
- 1g black vinegar
- 6g soy sauce
- 1g dark soy sauce
- 55g water
- 2.5g sugar
- 0.5g black pepper
- 0.1g star anise
- 0.02g dried bay leaf
- 0.1g five spice powder
Cooking rice:
- 60g white rice
- 90g water
Cornstarch paste:
- 4g water
- 2g cornstarch
PREPARATION
- Drain the packet of plant-based minced meat. Keep the drained oil which is canola oil for cooking later.
- In a pan, heat up oil and fry the plant-based minced meat and onion until slightly brown.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients together first. Add them to the plant-based minced meat. Mix well again.
- Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Thicken sauce with cornstarch paste if needed.
- Pour over cooked rice and serve with boiled xiao bai cai.
